Description

The Nikon ZR is a compact, 24.5 MP full-frame cinema camera merging RED’s R3D colour science with Nikon’s Z-mount technology. It features internal 6K/60p RAW recording, EXPEED 7 processing, and 32-bit float audio. Designed for solo creators and indie filmmakers, it boasts a fanless, lightweight body (approx. 540g) with 5-axis IBIS, 4-inch, 1000-nit monitor, and advanced AI-driven autofocus.

Sensor & Imaging: 24.5MP partially stacked full-frame sensor (6K 60p, 4K 120p).

RED Integration: Native R3D NE (Nikon/RED) and N-RAW, plus ProRes RAW/422 HQ.

Audio: World’s first camera with internal 32-bit float audio, eliminating clipping.

Processor & ISO: EXPEED 7 engine with Dual Base ISO (800/6400) and 14+ stops of dynamic range.

Design & Monitoring: Compact, fanless, weather-sealed body with a 4-inch 1000-nit, 3070k-dot touchscreen.

Stabilisation & AF: 5-axis IBIS (up to 7.5 stops) and AI-based 9-subject detection autofocus.

Workflow: Frame.io Camera to Cloud integration and dual CFexpress Type B/microSD slots.
