Description
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is Xiaomi’s 6.9-inch flagship launched in China on 25 September 2025, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 2.9-inch rear ‘Dynamic Back Display’ beside its Leica triple camera with a 5x periscope telephoto. It has a 7500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and was sold in China only.
China version – please read before buying
- Google Play: Not pre-installed. It can usually be added, but this is not guaranteed and it can stop working after system updates. Some Google features may not work.
- Pre-installed apps: Chinese apps and a Chinese keyboard come pre-installed. English can be selected as the system language.
- Contactless payments: Google Pay / Google Wallet tap-to-pay is not available or not guaranteed on China-version phones.
- UK networks: Supports all the main UK 4G bands (1, 3, 7, 8, 20 and 28, including 800MHz and 700MHz) and the main UK 5G bands (n1, n3, n7, n8, n20, n28 and n78), so it should work well on UK networks. Band 32, used by some UK networks only to boost speeds, is not listed. VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling depend on your network supporting imported phones.
- Charger: Any charger in the box is a China-market charger and will usually need a UK plug adapter.
