Description
Design & Build: The 15R features a modern, blocky design with flat sides, similar to the OnePlus 15. It has a glass back (Charcoal Black or Mint Breeze) with an aluminum frame, giving it a premium feel. It includes a specialized “Plus Key” on the side that acts as a custom shortcut, replacing the traditional alert slider.
Performance & Gaming: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 provides a 36% improvement in CPU and 11% better GPU performance over previous generations. It is optimized for sustained gaming, with a 360° Cryo-Velocity Cooling System to prevent overheating during long sessions.
Display: The 6.83-inch screen is a highlight, offering 165Hz for supported games, though it is an LTPS panel (not as power-efficient as LTPO), limiting dynamic refresh rates. It includes a 3,200Hz touch response chip for high-sensitivity gaming.
Camera Capabilities: The main 50MP Sony IMX906 camera performs well for everyday,, bright-light shots. However, the lack of a dedicated telephoto lens means zooming beyond 2x-3x results in significant quality loss. It supports 4K 120 FPS video, allowing for high-quality, slow-motion, and cinematic shots.
Battery & Charging: The 7,400mAh battery allows for over 14 hours of screen-on time, often lasting up to two or three days on a single charge. It supports 80W wired charging, which can fill the battery from 1% to 50% in roughly 22-25 minutes.
Software & AI: The device runs OxygenOS 16 with heavy AI integration (Plus Mind), including intelligent search, AI transcription, and a dedicated Game Assistant hub.
