Description
The HUAWEI Pura 90 Pro Max is the top model of the Pura 90 series, announced in China on 20 April 2026. It has a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED screen, Kirin 9030S chip, a 50MP variable-aperture main camera, a 200MP 4x telephoto macro camera and 40MP ultra-wide, plus a 6000mAh battery with 100W wired / 80W wireless charging and IP68/IP69 protection. This China model (SCA-AL00) runs HarmonyOS 6.1, which is not Android and has no Google services.
China version – please read before buying
- Operating system: HarmonyOS (China). This is not Android – Google Play and Android apps cannot be installed, so apps such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and UK banking apps are generally not available. Apps come from Huawei AppGallery (China) only.
- Contactless payments: Google Pay / Google Wallet tap-to-pay is not available or not guaranteed on China-version phones.
- UK networks: Huawei does not publish the band list for this China model. Unofficial listings show UK 4G bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20 (800MHz) and 28 (700MHz) and 5G bands n8, n28 and n78 only (no n1, n3, n7 or n20), so UK 5G coverage may be limited; none of this is guaranteed. VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling depend on your network supporting imported phones.
- Charger: Any charger in the box is a China-market charger and will usually need a UK plug adapter.
