Description
The HD 505 is part of the Sennheiser 500 series, using a similar, albeit more premium, chassis with black-gold-accented, all-black styling. The earcups are large and oval-shaped, utilizing velour pads that, while comfortable, can sometimes feel warm. The sound is often described as “analytical” or “neutral,” with a strong, yet controlled, bass that some critics feel is slightly lean, while others find it perfectly accurate. The headphones are generally not fussy with equipment, meaning they can be driven directly by a computer or phone, though they benefit from better, amplification.
