Description
Design and Display: The 6.9-inch display uses Always-On display technology and ProMotion for a smooth, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It features a new, more durable Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and back, designed to be 3x more scratch-resistant. The chassis adopts a heat-forged aluminum unibody for improved thermal conductivity, utilizing a vacuum-sealed, deionized water-filled chamber to keep the A19 Pro chip cool.
Camera Capabilities: This is the first iPhone to feature a full 48MP array on all three rear lenses, providing high-resolution, consistent, and detailed photos. The telephoto camera supports 4x optical zoom and up to 8x “optical-quality” zoom. The 18MP front camera includes a new “Center Stage” feature, allowing for automatic, wider, and smarter selfies that adjust when more people enter the frame. It also enables 4K video recording at up to 120 fps in Dolby Vision.
Performance and Software: The iPhone 17 Pro Max runs on the A19 Pro chip, designed for advanced on-device AI tasks, including new, faster Generative AI capabilities. It ships with iOS 26, which offers new customization options, a “Liquid Glass” UI, and enhanced privacy protections.
Battery and Charging: The device offers the longest battery life of any iPhone, with up to 39 hours of video playback (33 hours for streamed). It supports fast charging, capable of reaching 50% capacity in about 20 minutes with a 40W+ adapter.
Connectivity: It includes Wi-Fi 7, 5G cellular support, and, in some regions, exclusive 5G antenna capabilities for faster, more stable connections.
