The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft (1st Generation), released in late 2024 and expanded in 2025, is Amazon’s first e-reader featuring a color E Ink display. It aims to bring color to book covers, highlights, and illustrations while retaining the battery life and eye-comfort advantages of traditional e-ink devices.
