Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra are expensive at UK list prices. International versions cost a lot less: on the Fold8 Ultra the gap is up to £675. Here is exactly what we checked and the trade-offs to know before you decide.

Samsung is also offering UK buyers cashback to spend in Samsung Wallet at the time of writing (£350 on the Fold8 and £400 on the Fold8 Ultra), plus trade-in deals. If you would use that credit, count it: on the Fold8 it is more than the price difference, so buying at RRP and claiming the cashback works out better value. On the Fold8 Ultra the saving here is still well ahead.
Why is the price so different?
The phones we sell are international versions sourced in Hong Kong, where prices are lower than UK list prices. We ship them to you with UK import duty and VAT already paid, so the price you see is the price you pay: there is no customs bill or courier fee when your parcel arrives. The honest trade-offs
- Model code: each listing shows its exact model (SM-F9710 for the Fold8, SM-F9760 for the Fold8 Ultra). These are international versions, not UK-market stock. Check the model and bands on the product page before you order.
- Warranty: the warranty is provided by TechInOut, not by the manufacturer’s UK store. See our Warranty & Repair page for the details.
- Delivery time: orders are dispatched from Hong Kong within 1–3 business days and arrive 6–9 business days after ordering by tracked courier. A UK retailer can usually deliver faster.
- Store extras: manufacturer stores often add trade-in deals, cashback or bundled subscriptions. If you would use them, count them when you compare.
