The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2, released in late 2025 as the successor to the original Watch Ultimate, is a high-end,, robust device geared toward extreme sports enthusiasts and professional divers.
Design & Build: The watch has a bold, octagonal skeletonized, armor-like design. It is available in two, 48mm, models: Black (Compass Black) and Blue (Ocean Blue), the latter often coming with a titanium strap in addition to the fluoroelastomer one.
Performance & Display: The 1.5-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display offers exceptional brightness (3500-nits), ensuring visibility in harsh sunlight or deep water. The Watch runs on HarmonyOS 5.1/Next, with a fast, responsive interface.
Diving & Sports: It goes beyond standard diving watches by offering a 150m depth rating, a dedicated dive app with real-time data (depth, ascent speed), and the groundbreaking ability to send text messages/emojis via sonar to other users. It also includes a specialized Golf Course mode with 3D map views and a comprehensive Expedition mode.
Health: The X-TAP sensor, located between the buttons, allows for finger-based readings, which are more accurate than wrist-based sensors. It supports 24/7 heart rate monitoring, ECG analysis, SpO2, and sleep tracking.
